Does anyone have any experience of these tents as I’m considering a purchase of one,, please?
I’m used to poly cotton tents so a bit worried that the synthetic fly sheet and inner will be prone to condensation or too hot for summer camping. I understand BCT don’t make a poly cotton version anymore.
I’m comparing this with a vango force 10 classic, but the BCT seems to have a bit more room for the 3 person version and is a similar weight at around 9kgs.

Thanks - the purple option isn’t on the short list! BCT said there was more demand for their All season Tencate synthetic fly sheet version than the previous polycotton option, so hope there’ll be more comments here on how the synthetic fabric compares with polycotton, as I must admit I’d prefer that option if was available, which it is on a Vango force 10.

i have a task force 3 in the new material (dark green) and a orange force ten mk4, for comparison the task force is more solid and darker inside then the orange tents - they also come with zips ready for the exstension.
I also havea a medina conquest mk 1* and 11 and i would rate them as: bct TF, the medianas, them the task forces for stength of matreial despite the medinas being the oldest of the 3 makes.

That’s useful to know that you rate the BCT task force new material higher than Force 10 canvas. How was the ventilation in the Task Force compared with a canvas tent ?

Cabanon have been making their flagship family tent, the Biscaya, from Tencate all-season polyester canvas for years and for good reason; it's lighter than cotton canvas, more durable and doesn't start to grow mould so quickly if packed up wet. You can wipe it clean with a damp cloth.
Many people who have bought Biscayas, either new or used, don't realise it's not cotton canvas. It just feels a bit more stiff. It's brilliant stuff and used on many rental units now (including Karsten commercial tents).
I've owned several Biscayas in Tencate all-season polyester and would have no hesitation in buying another tent in this fabric. And I'm a canvas lover! There's no comparison to a standard synthetic tent, believe me!
P.S. Just had a nosey and what puts me off is the polyester inner! I can understand the logic in using an all-season fabric for the flysheet, but why move away from the tried and tested polycotton inner?
