Hi there,

I was just wondering if anyone has any recommendations for a 3/4 person tent. There are some key features I'd like but not sure whether they're attainable!

- Be able to stand up in
- Preferably a fully mesh door on sleeping bit
- Not too heavy or bulky (15kg max)
- Porch area with window

Budget is probably max £300. And can be poled or an air tent and I'll consider buying secondhand if there's older models. I've been looking at the eurohike genus 400 as an option. Any other recommendations very welcome!

Many thanks

I really like my Coleman Oak Canyon 4 which would meet your criteria and also benefits from having a blackout bedroom.

An air tent is going to be over your weight limit of 15kg

Not all of them are over 15kg. Gooutdoors have a Eurohike 3/4 berth which weighs in 14.7kg and would appear to fit your needs.

I camp at rallies on my motorcycle and have a Vango Galaxy 300, it weighs just 6.5 kilos and packs up small.
Its really easy to put up on your own too, with colour coded poles although they are really long ( especially the centre one ) You can stand up in the spacious living area and even pole out the front door to make a canopy ( additional poles required ) The only caveat is that the sides of the living area flap in but this is easily remedied buy using some crocodile style clips and pegging them out Simples !
One thing , once the bedroom and groundsheet are in place it will then be able to be erected and put away as one.
Sadly discontinued but still available at the moment from a number of suppliers on the net.

Ah yes, this looks lovely but perhaps slightly on the heavy/bulky side. Thanks for the recommendation though!
