Hi everyone I have an old Outwell Montana 6 (2006 model I think) it was bought second hand a couple of years ago and I have no idea if it's been waterproofed or if they even need waterproofing. It's a big old unit so im guessing it will be quite expensive to do. Is fabsil the best thing to use or is their an easier way to do it?
Thanks

Point 1 ....do not waterproof. Put up the tent and soak with water. Check for leaks and let dry
The fibres, if originally dry, will need to swell with the moisture.
Point 2 If, and only if, there is general leaking after this, go for the waterproofing. But you will probably have to repeat doing so annually
Hi and thanks for all the replies. Unfortunately when I rolled the tent out to put it up it had mould on the side entrance. Not entirely sure why as it was home dry when I out it away. On the plus side I get to buy a new tent... Swings and roundabouts and all that jazz!
