Hi, the zip on my tent has just broken. When closing, it goes round most of the way, but then hits a sticking point. If I pull the zipper past that point, the part of the zip behind it stays open.

I've tried cleaning it (it got rather muddy recently and I think that's what caused the problem in the first place) and rubbing it with a candle but I'm at a bit of a loss for something else to try.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I might fix it please? Or how much it might cost to get a new one put in? (And where I might get one put in).

It's a Quechua 2 Seconds 4 man tent. TIA

How old is the tent? Quechua tents carry a 3 year warranty.

Is this a pop-up tent? If so, it might be impossible to repair the zip. We had one where the zip went as you describe, which was a shame as the test of the tent was still A1. Ours was out of warranty so it had to be binned.

Hi, thank you for your reply. I'm not sure how old it is because I bought it second hand. I have contacted the company mentioned above and I'm just waiting for them to get back to me with a quote to replace the zip.

I'd let them know it's a pop-up tent, as they won't be able to manipulate the fabric on a machine.
