I bought this ( the blue version) as I wanted head height, a porch and a tent that I could put up on my own. 5ft 6 female.
Opened it this weekend and with much help from my husband managed to get it up and stable. But the pins are nearly impossible to insert in the poles and needed a very strong arm. There is no adjustment on the straps

Can I buy a set of adjustable straps with pins that I can attach to the static straps? I would then tighten once they are in. Nearly at the point of crying over this.

This video by the always excellent Gary Cross should work on your fibreglass poles - worth a try at least. If still stuck I'd cut the pole sections down an inch or two rather than try to fit new straps. Bear in mind everything will likely stretch / relax with a bit of use.

Thank you. Will try the trick in the video. Cutting down the poles as a last resort in case it does all stretch. Otherwise I love the size and height of the tent.

Sorry to raise an old post. I spent several painful hours putting this up again yesterday. Yes. Hours. And my hands and fingers are sore. Am I doing something wrong? Im not a weedy woman but I simply cannot get the poles into the pin and am doing a solo festival camp this week. I cant lift the cross poles either. Do i peg down or not? Open the door or not? Help!
