It’s been a long time since we last camped and the previous tent (Kyham Hatfield - which I’m hoping to sell) is way to big for just 2 of us now the kids have grown up. I’m wondering if anyone can give me some feedback on the Vango tent mentioned above? On my Kyham, I had the annex on the front which I found really useful for cooking and eating as well as a wet/dirty room for muddy shoes. The Vango has a built in annex as well as the separate living area, which is appealing to me. Alternatively, if anyone can suggest an alternative which has these features? Thanks in advance

We did a lot of research to find our ideal tent, we did originally go for the Stargrove but recently decided on an Outwell Parkdale 4PA Air Tent, it has the wet/dirty area you mention. We didn't intend to get an air beam but once seen we liked it's stability and storm straps. It is reduced at the moment in Winfields Outdoors.
We tried it last week during the hot spell and it was great, the backdoor has mesh, also the inner doors with magnetic closure instead of zips. Would recommend. Also only took 20 minutes to put up and less to put down :). Have a look at the Attwoolls You Tube video.

Hi Sue, I’ve just ordered one from Winfields. It includes the carpet too. Super excited. Thanks for your advice and help.
Hi Jayne
You'll have to let me know what you think of it (!). We do have other carpets (their free one wasn't the best), we've got the Eurohike one from Go Outdoors much more plush. We love the magnetic doors too. Oh we've yet to buy the foot print as they didn't have one in stock but have one we can use temporarily. Off to Bourton on the Water in ours in a couple of weeks, can't wait.
All the best
Sue
