Anyone know of a place in Sussex who takes tent poles for spares? We have a set of poles for an Outwell Nevada 5 tent which are no longer needed and it seems a shame to throw them away!

Not my neck of the woods, but can't think of anyone anywhere who operates such a niche marketplace! All is not lost though, 'Freegle' is like a dating agency for unwanted items that people offer and others may want/need, you'd be very surprised at what gets snapped up! ... and it's free for givers and takers! Operates in regions throughout the UK, just pick your nearest one. It's a great way of keeping stuff out of landfill.

Tent poles are pretty universal, the diameters are in standard sizes, and longer run lengths can be cut down to suit smaller tents if needed, so they always have 'potential'. Just advertise the pole dia and the run length, and maybe each section length.

only place I know is the adventure shop in Crickhowell, I've had replacement poles from there for one of my tents - I think they collect them after Green Man Festival to re-use

Stick them on ebay or gumtree for 1p plus the postage. If someone needs them they might pay to get them posted out.
