This Ferrex portable pump/ air compressor is on offer at £9.99. It requires a 20v battery available separately at £27. The 'max working pressure' is listed as 100 psi.

Does anyone with a technical head know if this could be used to blow up an air tent? I have the Decathlon Air Seconds Family 6 XL that says to inflate to 7psi. The manual pump has broken. Might two batteries be required if this worked in theory?

It is highly unlikely that it would last very long as most of these portable compressors are designed for low volume/high pressure and for only a minute or two of use before 'resting'. Even a quality Makita 40V one will not fill my 5 litre tank without a struggle ( the 18V one I had lasted about a month before it had terminal failure).

Birder pretty much covered it, but another aspect is the pressure readout/preset cutout on the tyre pump is almost certainly not accurate enough for a 'low pressure' tent air beam, an error of 2 or 3 psi on a 30-40-50psi tyre is neither here nor there, BUT could push an air beam too far and risk over inflation.

My dedicated electric Kampa Gale airbeam pump only goes up to 12.5 psi, but claims an accuracy of plus/minus 0.5psi, which is well within the tolerance of an airbeam.

For a tent you need a blower rather than a compressor.
Blowers handle a large airflow at low pressure, whereas compressors handle a small airflow at high pressure.
