Passed my Mod2 in November. Got a CBF1000 with top box and panniers.

A regular camper but definitely "car camping", never had to "pack light" before.

What gear recommendations for two people?

I used to go camping on my ST1100. With 2 panniers, a 45 litre top box and a rucksack I could easily carry enough for a long weekend camping. I used to have a 2-person dome tent, a 3 season sleeping bag in a compression sack and a foam mat, a Campingaz bluet stove with a spare canister, nesting mess tins and a 1 litre kettle, and a 10 litre folding water container. For clothing I packed lightweight and fast drying walking trousers, a couple of t-shirts and fleece tops and a lightweight waterproof jacket. I never used to carry food as I would buy that from local shops, I just had Nescafe 3 in 1 coffee sachets so could have a coffee while setting up. I also had things like a rechargeable torch that I could plug into the 12v socket on the bike and a battery radio and my Android tablet, both of which again I could charge from the bike.
