I purchased one of those pop-up, 1m x 1m x 2.5m, things, but gave up with it - it wasn't robust, when standing inside there wasn't room to swing a cat and when we came to getting it back in the bag, I and two friends, gave up. We left it at our host's place so he could use it to grow pot.

So I'm looking for something else . . . in the region of 2m x 2m, able to walk in and stand up in it and with the facility to black out any transparent panels. Generally I'm not keen on air-frame tents, but as we won't be sleeping in this I'm not adverse to one of these that can be inflated quickly within a couple of minutes - in actual fact that could be preferable as there'll be no poles to worry about when it's all folded down.

Any suggestions? I've looked at some utility tents but they don't quite hit the mark.

Thanks.

Google toilet tent or shower tent or utility tent (the biggest). Loads of choice, you get what you pay for - the pop up ones are cheap. Few air tube versions (might be more bulky & heavier), but the external poled ones will be quick to put up: just thread the poles through the loops & guy out.

I thought something like this:

Secondhand ones go for around a hundred quid.

That linked to a proper air tent with inner sleeping area & outer porch. If that’s what you want, it’s not a toilet tent or utility tent or storage tent, it’s just a tent. Make sure you can stand up in it. And some sites may charge extra.

It will have been the pop-up construction that made it flimsy, and getting pop ups back in the bag is an art.

Can you go and look at some poled toilet / shower tents somewhere where they have a tent display? Though you may need to wait til Spring.

Inflatable tents go up fast (with an electric pump) but can take a while to fold and get back in the bag because of needing to get all the air out.
