Single older female with arthritis issues looking for a tent I can easily manage alone . Looking for a medium sized tent as I have my dogs also.
Many thanx 😊

You don't say anything about where or how you wish to camp, or how big (what is medium?) a tent you may want? A material preference?
How does your arthritis limit you?

In the simplest of generalisation, the simplest to erect is a single pole tent, tipi syle...........but?

Khyam quick erects are still available. Had ours almost 30 years and it still gets dragged out occasionally, no issues whatsoever with the quick erect system.

Not the lightest, but less than a minute to go from a rolled up 3-4 person tent to one you can stand up in takes some beating.

Welcome Gypsey.

Difficult question for us to answer with the info given. Firstly, how impacted are you by arthritis, does it limit your dexterity and movement or is it more weight lifting limitations?

Some smaller tunnel tents are light and easy to erect (maybe only 2 or 3 pole hoops) IF you are capable of getting the pole ends into the anchor points (quite good hand grip needed), then again, airbeam tents can be a doddle to erect with minimum effort with an electric pump, but they tend to be rather heavy to handle, especially when packed into their bags, and as they are an all-in-one construction, you can't split the load to make handling easier.

Some tents can be packed with inner bedroom(s) left in place, others need them removing first, can you cope with the bending and scrabbling around dealing with multiple attachment points? - quite often plastic buckles that need squeezing to release!

Some types of tent require minimal guy ropes (airbeams tend to be quite good for that), whilst others (tunnel tents often require a fair few!) absolutely need them for stability, how can you cope with hammering in pegs? Screw in 'rock pegs' and a battery drill can make that task easier, so no hammering in or tugging out pegs required!

It's never easy advising someone on the best tent for them when you don't know them or anything about them, but add a health issue/handicap of unknown magnitude and it becomes near impossible to do more than throw a few ideas their way and let them decide what best suits them.

Budget is another factor, relevant to recommendations.

Have a look perhaps at the review of the NightCat 2 person tent on this site?
Incredibly easy to set up, light, and cheap?
