I have realised this is in the wrong place, I have put in the tent area x
Hi I used to go camping years ago but haven’t been for a long time. We used to have an out well Maryland xl which we loved but it did limit us on where we could stay.
We have decided to get back at it but we have nothing and I don’t know where to start. Firstly I would love tent recommendations, especially inflatable tents as the worst part for us was setting up and I am guessing these are easier lol.
We are a family of 7, myself, my partner 3 teens 19,18 and 16 and two younger one, 8 and 5. We also need as many tips as possible please

------------- are we nearly there yet??

Consider giving the teens their own tent, you won't need such a massive tent and could even occupy 2 adjoining pitches in campsites with small pitches.
Getting 2 tents each with 2 bedrooms would do it.
Give the teens tent its own stove and kettle so they can make hot drinks and snacks without disturbing you. Some pot noodles are almost nice.
First thing to strike me with your inquiry is, do you realise how heavy and bulky (when packed) large airbeam tents are!
Your old Outwell Maryland was no lightweight, but you could split the flysheet and poles to divide the weight and bulk for easier handling and car loading, an airbeam is all in one under ALL circumstances!
Take a close look at packed weights and dimensions to see if you can handle them before getting too carried away with the draw of how wonderful the erected tent is!
Quite a lot good about airbeam tents, but the heavy large holdall can be their downfall for many potential users!
In your family unit you and your partner are the camp leader, the driver, the navigator, the quartermaster food and the cook.
The 3 teens are the workforce, get them to put up the tent(s). While you set up the kitchen and put on the kettle.
If you bring a bike they can do the shopping too.
Expect them to put up the tent(s) badly in an attempt never to have to do it again.

As well is two words!

Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
