We have had a bit of a drama buying a new tent to replace our existing one which had had a lot of use. We bought exactly the same tent, but the company had made the stove hole smaller so much so that our flashing kit with insulated flue did not fit. Long story short we have bought a bigger flashing jack and had to sew this in by hand. It's not ideal but will do the job. I want some advice about what seam sealer to use? I bought dometic seam sealer but it says its extremely flammable.. is that just when it's wet? Obviously not going to put something on near the flue hole that's flammable. Advise for seam sealers please 🙏

Its a canvas bell tent. Im looking at the seam sealant because I had to cut a hole in the tent and hand sew the new stove jack. The stitching isn't ideal.
It still should not be neccessary. The threads swell when wetted, and remain so to a degree on drying, and swell again on subsequent wetting.
If you are convinced that you need to seal, any proprietory sealant will suffice, such as Stormsure and many others?
As this will be on the periphery of the fireproof jack, flammability won't be any worse (when dry) than the material itself.
