Their "Tension Band System" is that?
It will almost certainly be "sufficient" in helping to reduce the likelihood of (tent) damage in High winds... as do pegs and guylines* themselves, of course.
As indeed, could a sheltering hedge, building, or large vehicle to act as a windbreak.
All would arguably "Do more good than harm", in the majority of UK storms/"High winds". I'd say that would also apply to this tension band system (in my opinion).
But it will not guarantee 100% security in a storm/high winds, no. Nothing will offer such guarantees for a tent.
* You'd be surprised (or not!) at how many folk use 50% or less of the guylines and pegging points that the manufacturers have been good enough to supply affixed to their tent, at no extra cost(!).
If you find yourself tent camping in a storm/high winds, use whatever defence mechanisms you have at your disposal... including ALL guylines, AND your tension band system.
Why, it's even been known for some of us to add even more guylines, above and beyond what the manufacturers have fitted! I've even been known to shove beds/boxes/hold-alls to the internal perimeters, due to wind finding it's way underneath, bellowing the sewn-in-groundsheet!
But remember... more good than harm, not guaranteed!
Still keep those fingers crossed, and sleep with one eye open!
