hi there,
we managed to pitch our monty 6 in just over half an hour (first attempt!!!) which we thought was brilliant especially since once it's up you don't have to fiddle around putting up bedrooms, fitting groundsheet etc. Ours stood up to all the thunderstorms and torrential rain on Friday night too.
One good thing I'd add to your own list of plusses is the fact that you have great headheight throughout the tent, unlike the diablo. Having said that I do think the diablo is a great tent - friends of ours have the 900 - and would have comsidered it if I weren't so claustrophic... I wouldn't be able to cope with those slanty-roofed bedrooms... oh and I do like the fact that it has a rectangular footprint... easier to fit on a pitch, and to buy a spare groundsheet to go under, and protect, the SIG. Plus all those windows, lovely spacious living area, etc etc...

p.s. ours came with one mis-shapen pole end and the stockists, outdoor megastore, replaced the whole pole without question. I think the thing is to check all your poles, try a practice pitch, and find out if you've got one of the few faulty ones... I haven't heard of anyone who's not had them replaced immediately at no cost.
