Help!!

At the moment we have a sunncamp grange, which is great for weeks or fortnights away, but I want something that we can just throw into the car and go off for the weekend. the grange can take a good few hours to put up and down and it just doesn't seem worth it for a weekend.

I would also like to be able to put it up my self - well with a little help from my 10 & 6 year old girls (they do eat yorkies - so they are no wimps). If theOH is working through the holidays, it would be nice for me, the girls and dog to just get up and go to some where local.

Which is the best -- it would be nice if it had a built in ground sheet and not cost much more than £150.

Thanks Lisa

Vango Venture 500/600DLX? Or the Coleman Bi Space 400 http://www.hccc.co.uk/acatalog/Coleman_Dome_Tents.html (or £75! usually £100+).

Any particular style you had in mind? Do you want more livng or sleeping space?

We've just had our first outing in our Aztec Cantera 6.  It has two bedrooms and a nice living area with SIG, and a good size porch.  Went up quite easily with hubby and I (both vertically challenged) with a little help from our daughter.  A little higher than your price range but may be worth a look.

We were really pleased with it although yet to try it in the rain.

Sue

Cheers, I will have a look at that one.

More living space I think, and we need a bit of height as I am 5ft 9 and OH is 6ft 2, so would that be a dome tent rather than a tunnel?

6ft 2" would rule the Bi Space 400 and smaller domes out.

Tunnels tend to have more gradual height reduction towards the edges than domes from the ones I have seen. The Sahara on the Millets site is good as head space is constantly high.

On a limited budget Sunncamp and Campus (Santiago, Hardvard Deluxe spring to mind) do nice spacious tents that are good VFM.

With 10 and 7 year old kids I would still go for a tent with two seporate sleeping compartments, rather than all share one.

For £150 or less, you have lots of options, but not many with SIG.

How about a small vis-a-vis tunnel set up with the likes of the Campus Santiago, Campus Yale (with SIG), Lichfield Arapaho 6?
