I don't have a Biker, but have the Mckinley which is very similar, a bit higher I think. It is good! Not really high enough for me though, although you can sit inside if it is raining and enjoy the views. Spacious too. Definitely Good!!

Thanks I did look at the McKinley but I don't like the side opening. That's what we have on our small tent at the moment and when it's raining and you open the door you get a downpour in the porch Which is why I like the nifty awning

Thanks! Think that might be the one then. It seems to have everything we need. When it's just the two of us we're not going to spend that long in it!

Hi, I have a Biker tent for short weekend breaks. I find it is ideal with the option of using the end or side door. Enough room for two with storage in the end section. I also got the footprint ground sheet, which was worth the extra outlay.

We also have an Outwell Colorado 8 for when the whole family go away. I am a Scout leader and needed something smaller and simple for short trips. Had a good look around at all the designs and decided on the Khyam. I am very pleased with the Biker, great quality, easy to put up and kept me dry and warm in some very nasty weather early in February.

Does the extra groundsheet cover the porch area too?

Yes, the footprint groundsheet would cover the whole floor area of the tent. Welcome to the forum by the way

I have the Biker, and it's a cracking wee tent. I use it for bike rallies and it's the perfect size for a weekend away. What I didn't expect though was having to seal the seams on a brand new tent (was a 2007 model), as it came with a tube of seam seal and instructions to seal it before you use it. Just remember to do the zip seams on the front and side doors, as I didn't, and had a few pools of water lined up on the footprint groundsheet after a night of torrential rain.

Footprint groundsheet covers the whole area under the flysheet, porch area and sleep area, and is definitely worth getting, as it'll fit into the carry bag with the tent too.

It's a very roomy tent for it's size. Sleeping area took a coleman comfort double with ease, and then panniers, helmets and bags stuffed along the sides.

Hi,

We got a Khyam Megadome 2 in the early 90s, it's still in the loft somewhere, even then we got a tube of sealant.
