Supposedly going camping this weekend. 5 days in Devon, then 7 days in Dorset. But picking up from a previous thread about weather have tried all 3 sites recommended and cannot get a consistent weather report from all 3. Tempted to go with accu, as they say weather is going to be ok. Need Sun not scorching, but enough to chill out on and forget about the stresses of work. Enough to read during the day and sit out with a beer or glass of wine at night, even if I have to be wrapped up. - JUST DO NOT WANT RAIN. Teletext are offering cheap packages to Sharm (wonder why?) and at this minute very tempted. Can anyone give me a proper weather report or just tell me I am not mad to want to camp. - Also to the women out there - how do you make it easy and stress free

You're not mad to want to camp, so what if it rains this is Britain. We have had a lovely couple of weekends away and the weather hasn't been brilliant for any. We have just enjoyed being away from it all, that includes mod cons.
As for making it stress free, just be as organised as possible, make sure you take the bottle of wine, corkscrew and a glass nothing else matters!!!! I'm just about to do a camping list on the computer so that I don't forget anything, I keep forgetting pillows!
Weather forecasts ... I've used www.bbc.co.uk it gives a 5 day, just type in where you are going ... I've found it's not been too wrong so far. Don't worry though as someone said earlier I'd rather be in rain than bombs and the scenery in this country wouldn't be as beautiful as it is if we didn't have the rain.
Have a great time ... Quinnys
