Fine choice if I may say so! LOL I love my colorado.
Doddle to put up really, though instructions in the bag aren't much help!
You can put it up with the inners in already or take them out - they'll be inside factory packed for your first time.
I got loads of tips of this site - search on mud flaps/ mud valatnce and you can get loads of comments on that whole debate. I've tried both ways and they both seem to work.
Top tip is to loosten tension straps on the bottom of the tent first - this stops putting too much strain on any of the joints or seams. Last time I packed it up, I undid the clasps on these straps, to see how that goes when I next put it up. the t pensions straps are closed when packed at the factory, might be worth unclipping when you first put up. I didn't and found it quite hard to lift and peg out.
I've got the 8 and there are 5 poles so I colourcoded them - makes for easy matching of pole to ring and pin.
I put mine up this way - put all roof poles in first, then lay out upright poles. I then put poles in rin pin, first one side then the other. I make space for the pole on the ground however I can.
When you've got all the poles in, pull one end upright. The rest of the tent should follow! Peg a couple of guys to keep the tent up, then go round positioning the other poles.
I try to make sure the tent is square when I do this. Then peg a couple of guys the other end. Now you can go round pegging the rest.
Have a practice run - when you see how it goes up it's much easier!
Most of all - enjoy your new tent - I'm sure it will serve you long and well.
Sure I've forgotten loads, but these were the things that I wish I'd know first time I put mine up.
