We are a family of 4, quite experienced campers but knackered our Jamet tunnel tent due to a windy August bank holiday in Anglesey. Now looking for a new tent but have been a bit put off tunnel tents. We preferably want 3 bedrooms (2 for sleeping one for storage) but not really any bigger than 6 berth, pitch flysheet first, good area for cooking, easy erect tent.
Anyone got any suggestions as to a good, stable, roomy tent.
First time user of the site and would appreciate any help.

sorry shpould really point out that we havent actually used ours yet only trial pitched it ,so Ill shut up now and let more experienced peeps weeble on about other tents when infact the Aspen is the Daddy!!!!!
Much as the Apsen is lovely (and it is!), it is not flysheet first. Pesonally I would forgo this aspect, in return for the comfort and style of the Aspen.
However, I think fly-sheet first would take off most of the popular SIG dome tents, like the Diablo and Hartford. An exception is supposed to be the Sunncamp Magnum Plus XP - which S&K had on demo this weekend and looked excellent. Missing the thrid pod for you; however, you would get the comfort of a SIG.
Got the money for a Kyham Rigipod?
Has your experience with a tunnel tent also put you off something like an Outwell Montana or Colarado, Colaman Sahara or Sunncamp Fortress (now there is a name to give you confidence!)?

Haven't really got the money for the rigipod, but would love one!
Will look into the others mentioned, our tunnel tent was about 3 years old so I suppose things have improved a bit since then for tunnel tents, quite like the Vango Vista one with the tension band system. Any opinions on that one?
