my brother in law had a vis a vis type pro action and it lasted 2 trips. the door zip broke in high winds and rain last october, could have been a pitching fault too, only the second time he had pitched a tent, the first time i helped as he was sure they had forgotten to put the ring and pin parts in the bag! LOL!

The one we had was not very good and did not survive one trip (see our review and photos here- but others may be a more suitable shape and/or better made. They may also have better instructions!

I just got my ProAction Tundra 9 person tent out of storage and guess what? The assembly instructions are missing Can any body help?

Pro Action tents are imported solely by Argos from China.The are poor quality but that is reflected by the price.
The seasoned camper stays well clear of such tents.they seemed to be aimed at the new camper who thinks all tents are alike......not so.

When it comes to retailers own brand tents you just can't say they are crap or great, each style of tent might be made by very different factories even in different countries where as something like a Vango will be made pretty much in one factory for 99% of their tents. One thing with own brand tents is they tend to be made to a price. So the buyer might say "we need a four berth tent for £200". A brand like Vango will make a tent with a similar idea but if it comes out at £250 and is a good tent the so be it.

I was always under the impression that many 'own brand' tents are actually made by popular manufacturers but they are sold 'unbranded' or with a different brand name specifically for the cheap market like Halfords and Argos, in much the same way that baked beans in supermarkets may all come from branded suppliers but the supermarkets buy the rights to use their own label.
