Hi all,

i posted a thread on here a few weeks ago asking which tent is better "Diablo 900" or "Aspen 700" - following all the replies I am going for the Aspen.

However I was wondering if anyone has physically seen the 2 in flesh - and if there is a great different in size between the 500 & 700? I know there are dimensions on the net - but it's totally different being able to physically see a tent in the flesh. I'm down in Devon and not one of our camping stores have this tent available to view.

Taunton Leisure have the Vango Aspen 500 on Sale for £269 and am very tempted, however I orginally wanted the 700 because of the extra space.

Is there much difference between the two?

before we decided to go for the coleman columbia 10 we looked long & hard at both the aspens & I have to say if you can afford it the 700 looked the better one (we are a family of 4) another one we considered was the Outwell Sun Valley 8.

Thanks for that Rix1965. Yep it's got to last us. We're a family of 3 - gonna be 4 sometime. So want a good amount of space for those rainy days and chilly evenings - without feeling cramped.

Just need to see them in the flesh somehow.

thx again

Hi, I would definalty go for the 700, its an amazin tent and the room inside is unbelivable, its got a bit of weight in it with the poles but it just makes it so stong and for the extra few quid its well worth it seeing as its a tent that should last a long long time

Good luck
