Yes you need to get it out and check it over. This is partly in case there is a problem and you need to take it back, and also so you can have a practice run. Its a big un too, so you need space - and give yourself plenty of time for that first attempt too.

This prevents the risk of getting out on hol and discovering big problems then.

And besides, how can you RESIST having a play now??

Hi Thanks for your help and advice

Will give a trial run 1st, the garden is big enough but the dogs have made a mess of the lawn mainly soil now but i will get a big tarp and pitch it on that at least i can check all the bits to see if they are all in the pack.  i wont look like a fool in front of the group that we are going with ( about 20 tent's)

                                        Thanks again   Colin

I'm itching to do a trial run on the new tent but garden is far too small, good job I have a huge park on the other side of the road. although I think I will go to the local camp site and spend a night in her as well.

Try not to arrive really late at your pitch, as the last thing you need is to be exhausted and then face pitching an unknown tent in fading light! (Been there, done that, wouldn't recommend it for marital harmony!)
