The ones for the main guys are plastic. Probably okay for soft ground, but we've got some metal continental ones which we're going to use for the main guys. The delta pegs are very popular on here.
I have never managed to make the supplied pegs last more than one trip. They are one of the worst pegs I have had supplied with a tent. Throw them away and buy some good ones. Most of the supplied ones are plastic and if you hit them harder than a soft tap they just snap.

Ive just bought a Montana 6 and we got metal and plastic pegs with it... havent put it up yet, as weathers been crap, just managed to unroll it a bit in the living room to check that the pegs were there.
We ucurrently use the pegs that came with out Monty but I reckon by the end of this season we will defo have to buy some delta ground anchors as I really can't see the supplied pegs lasting more than one season.

The thing that worried me last year about the plastic pegs ( the same ones this year ), is that I could snap the tops off easily with my bare hands with not much effort. I can just imagine what a strong wind would do.
