hi, I know it's been asked before but we have a budget of £160 - £180 to get a tent, more or less new to the game as well. Its just my wife and I, she wants lots of space and as she's the boss thats what we are going for. Have walked round the Eurohike Windsor which seemed ok and is available for £150. However, looking round the net for a bit extra there are such things as last years vango models and the like available. So, to get to my point, any reccomendations for a 4 or 5 berth tent on a budget, or any reason NOT to get the Eurohike.
Thanks all.

we've had a eurohike tent for 3 years and found it fine, have only upgraded to a bigger model to get a higher tent due to bad back/tall hubby combination. We bought our Eurohike whilst on a tight budget and it siuted us well and did a good job
i am in the same predicament as you with regard to eurohike tents, i quite like the sandringham 4 person model and with the 25% discount it comes in at a nice £97.25p. it is slightly bigger than the vrx500 on this site, however this will be my first tent i am buying so i am also looking round and doing my homework before i commit myself.
eurohike are millets own brand.
Our first tent was a Eurohike - traded in because we wanted something taller (OH is 6'), but we had no problems with it, in fact we passed it on to a very good friend, who hasn't had any problems either.
I've got a couple of the smaller Eurohike tents off eBay for just a few quid, I used one in Cornwall last year and despite the torrential rain remained bone dry. Some camping anoraks would rather chop off one of their digits than be seen in a Eurohike but IMO they're great value for little cash.

If it was my money i would look at last years Vango tents.. but I'm a fan of Vango anyway, I have used them for more than 20 years never really had a problem with them. Any that i did have, or needed spares for was an easy task to purchase.
Thanks to everyone for your help....Will let you know what we decide to get in the end, have some investigating to do first. Had decided against the Eurohike but the 25%...well its up in the air now. Managed to get some good lamps, a small table, a double burner and a portaloo at a nice price from Lidl on the last day of one of their specials so happy with that. Once again thanks!
