We have the 900 and it is fantastic - very spacious with good features and the 2006 model looks great with it's side porch door. Never had any problems with water getting in even in torrential rain.
The only downside to this and similar tents is that alot of sites stipulate a maximum width of 5 metres, the Diablo 900 has a circumferance of approx 8 metres. We have been unable to visit some sites because of this. The Caravan and Camping Club specify 5 metres as a maximum. I wish I had been told this by the tent retailer. Despite this we have found some sites that will take us - view the thread 'Sites accepting larger tents' for more details.

First I`ve heard of this. I`ve got a 7m x 7m tent and never had any problems getting it pitched on a C&CC site before, though admittedly I haven`t been to a C&CC site this year. Is it a new rule?

The thing that always gets me about the Hartford is the size of the bedrooms - small. The diablo bedrooms are noticably bigger and allow you to sleep feet towards the slope, rather than in the Hartford where some poor s*d has to sleep side on to the overhang.

I have the Diablo 900 after comparing it to the Hartford XXL. We preferred the Diablo 900, I think it had a better water resistance but can't remember the exact reason for the choice.
We have just come back from 10 days in Cornwall where we pitched in high winds and still managed to get it pitched reasonably well even though the wind was almost flattening the inner tent.
I've used C&CC sites and not had a problem with the size of the Diablo.
