Hi, has anyone got a Skandika tent or heard of them? Seen them advertised on     E-bay. They seem too cheap to be any good but the write up on them is OK.

Hi, i bought a Skandika Canyon a few weeks ago for a great price off ebay, have used it 3 times now and it's brilliant, easy to put up, loads of room for myself and the wife, has stood up well in howling winds and rain, and it has mud flaps and an overlarge ground sheet to stop wind and rain getting in the sides, love the 3 doors it has got aswell, On my last trip, i had a couple who had a monty 4 looking over it, they were impressed, and were gob smacked when i told them i got it for £116, I have tried all sorts of branded tents over the years (keeping up with the Jones's) lol, but this tent beats them all.

Hi, i have the the skandika canyon as i posted above  and am well impressed with it, and must admit i am now looking at the nimbus as a two week holiday tent, because for the price's you can get them for at the moment they certainly match the popular branded names for quality and comfort, I can't help you with instruction on how to erect it, but if you are familiar with erecting tents you will soon have it up, and with all that space you will  have a great holiday in what looks like a fantastic  tent.  I think the german made skandika will be another branded name in the future as people catch on to the quality and choice of styles, and of course price, it's what caught me, and am well chuffed with mine.

Thanks Slider, we have just traded up from a 6 man tent not because we need the sleeping accom but more for its versatile size. it has the added bonus of being able to move the living space wall to the end of the sun canopy to incresase living space even more, which with our climate might just be a god send!!!!! going to do a practice (put up) on monday so i will tell all how it went.

hi gang, just want to say having been away for the first time with our new nimbus tent all i can say is "oh my god what a tent" absolutely enormous, but so so easy to put up, the two of us managed it in just under the hour inc bedrooms. The size is the first thing that gets you, i could park our 7 seat people carrier in the living area with headroom to spare. if in doubt dont be, there are fantastic....

I have just one, a caravan tunnel tent, for a ridiculous price and if it only does my 2 seasons I would have done well, and the service and quick delivery was excellent. Puts a lot UK companies to shame. Like everything else they are a new, well new to the UK, company, selling in a competitive market and perhaps they need to be given time to see how their product really stands the test of time and British weather.

Just come back from 1 week in Lake District in a Lichfield 8 man tent with 8 people in it and decided it is too small - we have a 15 year old and 13 year old daughter (we took 2 of our daughter's friends as well) and 2 year old twins.  Just bought today a Skandika Hurricane 12 man from e-bay (plenty of room for storage of toys).  Can't beat the price but time will tell if it stands up to the Great British weather - I hope so - particularly in the Lake District.  Will be taking it away later in August so will let all know.
