We are thinking of buying a second tent for odd days/weekends away. We were more or less set on the Vango until i went to the local camping exibition at the weekend & spotted the Kyham. Does anyone have any tips or comments about ether tent? We are looking for something sturdy & easy to erect.
Best regards
Steve

I am selling my khyam XL classic because we bought a tt. It is very sturdy and goes up in minutes. It has sleeping space for 4 people, any good to you?
Thanks for your kind offer but we really only want to spend around £70.00 & don't really want anything as big as a classic, we already have a big frame tent, we just want something small for overnight stops.
Hi steve, I commented a little while ago about the Khyam Sherpa 4, which is only slightly bigger than the "3"(I pitched one a few weeks ago). Its not a bad tent and fairly easy to pitch, although I would look to pitch it in a very sheltered spot as it doesn't look like it will stand up to much in the way of wind.
On the plus side, it is very spacious for its size and weight with a good size porch area and plenty doors. It should be quite cool in the hot weather.

have a look at the outwell oregan 3/4, had the dilemma with the khyam but when I compared the two the khyam did not seem sturdy enough wheras the outwell........it is a class tent you will not be dissapointed
Thanks for that, we will certainly have a look at the Outwell, never thought about that one! I have just looked on the net & found some pic's etc of it, i could now do with seeing one in the flesh so to speak.
I think the Kyham is out from the replies i am getting (not very sturdy) & the Vango Delta looks a little small, what do you folks think of the Vango Venture range?
We are looking for something sturdy for overnight use, easy to pitch, flysheet first, probably a three birth (only two of us) with a living area large enough to get a couple of chairs in for us to sit on if the weather is bad
I've just bought an Outwell Oregan 5 and managed to put it up in twenty minutes all by myself. I also bought an Oregan 3 for my mum which is even easier to put up. Both are excellent tents and the Oregan 5 has standing height. i would definately recommend this one.
I have looked at all different types of tent and found this to be the best one.
