God, I must of changed my mind a 100 times - please someone put me out of my misery

Brief details

two adults
two toddlers
like lots of living space and room for all your stuff
use electric hook up when ever possible

my worries

Khyam Colorado - is it to big for some sites and they may charge a lot more for a big tent, or might even say its to big and you cant stay…?

My toddlers will keep tripping over in the Monty 6 and cleaning it out might be hard (SIG) after the little ones have been in it...

Arrhhh I could scream, please someone help!!

Cheers

Greg

Is the Monty 6 your only choice of tunnel?  I think you can get quite a lot of living space in a tunnel without getting too big for a pitch, and there are some good non sig ones  out there.  Or is that just going to complicate things?  You're bumped anyway!

All the big manufacturers do a tunnel, and I think mostly it comes down to aesthetics.  Sunncamp  and Gelert do them with a SIG, I'm a big fan of Vango personally, but other makes are also well respected.  What sort of details are you looking for?

I just want the best tunnel tent on the market, I really like the look of the Khyam Colorado, I am inches away from buying one, but I want a few people that have the Khyam Colorado to have there input....

but I suppose if I saw another tent like it, I would have to start all over again....

Sunncamp have one just like it

Yep Sunncamp have the Vario and Gelert have the Lokon - all are similar to the Khyam. Don't know personally which has better features (sorry).

None of these, including the Khyam, are too big sites.

Sorry I was thinking of the Vango Colorado, bit of a difference there then!  The Khyam Colorado looks a nice tent, Gelert do one like that as well.  I don't know which is the best, sorry!  I wouldn't think you'd have pitch problems with either of these, I think thats more the big domes with pods coming off them.  Not helping much am I?  If it feels right it probably is right, Khyam are unlikely to let you down.

We have a monty 6 and two girls under ten they seem to manage ok with the guy ropes. loads of space and can shut your self in in bad weather and still have room to crawl ,play etc. Cleaning it out is just a quick brush with the dust pan etc not too arduous!
good luck deciding

Hi All

The khyam colorado is a great tent, just huge amounts of space for two adults and 3 kids (9,7 and 12 months ) and nice and light in the right palces. Khyam swapped the first one out as it had various niggly things wrong with it (Excellent service Taunton Leisure).

Just come back from a week in Poole, had the same problem as the rest of you though no matter how i tried to rearrange the front I could not get it to sit right, the storm flaps sit very proud and had to use the bungee cords on single loops. spent most of the week with the front section zipped back into the middle to provide a great wind/sun shield. Would love to here what Khyam say about the issue. It looks just too small maybe they could provide a replacment bigger zipp in section.

It seems to me there is a significant difference between these tents ... chiefly that the Khyam has three sleeping pods and the Gelert and Sunncamp has two ... am i right ?

If so for us the choice is between a Khyam Colorado and a Jamet Roma ... the latter seems a bit cheaper ... how do they compare? Anyone ant experience of both or either ?
