This is a case of personal choice. I have had ( and loved) both.
A proper trailer tent say a big Conway is a palace when it is pitched. Proper beds off the ground, proper kitchen with built in cooker, fridge and sink, hanging wardrobes, toilet area, built in leccy points the lot. The down side is the cost ( about £3,000 for a new one probably £1,000+ for a decent second hand one.) and the time they take to errect. But if you have a family and are going to just one site say for a two week holiday, they cannot, I repeat, cannot, be betterd for comfort. Also they will last for years, so if used regularly you will get your money back eventually.
On the other hand you will spend much less and have much more flexibility if you have a tent plus trailer.
