Our new tent arrived today, new to us that is, and it is absolutely stunning. I bought it off ebay and I feel very guilty now as I was the only person to bid and got it for the opening bid of £9.99 plus postage. Well, I feel a bit guilty rather than very guilty cos thats the way of ebay and its happened to me as a seller when I have been very disappointed with price something fetched and I'm sure it will happen again.
Anyway, back to the tent. It is a Lichfield Vermont 5DL frame tent and if anyone has actually camped in this tent I will eat my woolly hat. It is up in our back garden as we speak and it hasnt got a mark on it. It is the current Vermont model in navy blue/grey with red piping and it looks unused. There is a photo in my image gallery if you want to see it. There are also some photos on the link to photobucket, just scroll past the Yale photos
We have been discussing frame tents for a while now as we would like one for our trips to France. The general opinion being that frame tents are cooler and the Lichfield 4 berth is one we were considering buying new for this years trip. I spotted this 5 berth on ebay and decided to take a chance. Am I glad I did because it is absolutely beautiful and if the previous owner is a member of UKCS and is reading this then thankyou once again and I'm sorry that it didnt reach a price you hoped for.

It is a real bargan as you all say. I still cant help feeling sorry for the peeps that sold it but then again, as Peridot pointed out, ebay has ways of avoiding disappointment such as a higher start price or a reserve price. The best thing about this tent is that I am only 4 ft 10 ins and I put it up and took it down by myself. Mind, that could be 'cos I didnt have OH scowling and moaning because there was work to be done lol !!!!

Fantastic! We too had a bargain from ebay! There was a 6 berth frame tent listed, with cooker (twin ring with grill), folding cooker stand which still had price of £39.99 on the box, folding wash basin stand, gas bottle (almost full) regulator, ground sheet, gas lantern, for a buy it now price of £25!! And it was located only half an hours drive away.
Kept thinking it must all be rubbish but we purchased it cos we needed the cooker and stand, however when OH put the tent upin the garden we were gobsmacked, it was in great condition as were the other items. Decided to sell the dome and use this amazing bargain for our first trip at the end of August! The seller even threw in two air beds.

What a lovely tent! I really enjoyed looking at your photobucket album too. It made me realise i've got to get a lot more organised for our week away in August. We only have one small table.
Do you fit all that lot in your car?
I love looking at other people tents, inside and out (you are so tidy!) does that make me sad?
Glad you enjoyed the photos. I love a good nose at other peoples tents too. Sadly we are not that tidy. The photos of the Yale were taken for another UKCS member who was interested in buying a Yale but couldnt get to see one on display so I had a tidy up before I took them. Cant have my mess displayed on UKCS for all to see.
We do manage to get it all in the car but we have a Citroen Picasso and there are only 2 of us plus dog so we can take out 2 of the back seats and have a huge loading space. Enjoy your trip in August.
We've got a picasso too butwe've got children, we take a roof box as well.
Can you recommend a good camp table? I've got a little one which is great for standing the wine and wine glass on when sat out at night, and I bought a campkitchen for our cooker (but I'm a bit worried as its a bit wibbly wobbly!)
I'm thinking of a table for inside the tent to store stuff on and under, noticed you had a couple, are they good?
Am I allowed to have tidy tent envy? I love the Yale too, I'd love a tent with windows in the bedrooms!
I love camping but with the kids need to get a bit more organised.
I love the table that rolls up into a bag as it doesnt take much packing but has good space on it you can also store loads underneath it if you are using it as workspace. I think it cost £20 at Millets.
The other table is our eating table and we are not keen so we are getting rid of it. It folds like a suitcase and comes with 2 stools that are stored inside. Its the stools I'm not keen on as I would prefer a table you can pull a chair up to. We are going looking this weekend. I noticed that Woolies are doing a white topped table that has legs that fold into the base and a carrying handle on the side for £9.99. We may go for one of them at that price.
I dont have kids so tidy and organised is easy for us. Throw kids into the mix and I would not be very tidy or organised.
