doh! How dense am I? (no, dont answer that! LOL) I never thought of that! I find it hard to turn over in the night in my sleeping bag, opening it up would solve the problem!

just got some of those yesterday and have started packing some of the clothes and towels etc.
I just said to Lee this afternoon that if he wants to take his pillow off the bed it will have to be vacuum packed. I think I've gone vacuum bag crazy!
*wonder if the kids would fit....*
Fortunately the sleeping bags all roll up into little bags so they dont take up much room once packed

Vacuum bags are great, I got some from Matalan. THing is, I don't think I can make it there before we go away in August! Need to have a hunt and see what I can find online! My kids have sleeping bags but we take a sheet and duvet.
I've taken both - the first year, duvet and the 2nd, sleeping bags. I've tried zipping the large vango ones together into 1 large one - but got too cold as he moved to the side of his so there was a big gap, separate sleeping bag and I feel confined. This year, its going to be the duvet, love it.
God, don't let the wife see this post, we couldn't take any more in the car.
Vango Astral mummy bags for us, nice and toasty during the night, under neath is a blow up and on top, if needed, is a blanket. But it would have to be seriously cold for the blanket.
Cheers

i hope this isn't a dense question - newbie camper here, but if you use vacuum bags for taking your quilts in, to save on space, what about when you're returning? or is that a REALLY stooopid question??
just occurred to me that perhaps you can use the electric/battery inflator for deflating the bags again? is that right?
We've got some bags which do't need a deflator, I just sit on them. From Matalan.
As I can't get there, can anyone recommend any bags which can be bought online? Doesn't matter if they need a deflator as our pump can do it.

Sprocket, I bought mine off ebay - 2 jumbo (they're huge!) and 1 extra large for £11.99 plus p&p
I saw ones on ebay that you dont have to have a pump for, you just roll them up and all the air goes out of a one way valve - handy for those without EHU - but it seemed too much like hard work for me! LOL
DOH! Didn't think of Ebay, will go nosey now!
Its the large and jumbo I'm after, we got two smaller ones with the set fro matalan, the larger one will hold the double duvet and one pillow but the smaller two aren't much use (unless I used them for clothes which I probably will do)
The ones wehave with the one way valve are quite easy to be honest, like I say I just sit on them LOL!
