What about the Vango Vista 800, it's a super tent, loads of head room in living area & bedrooms, and sig throughout. I've seen it for £299 at Go Outdoors, I know it's a bit more than your budget, but for a family of five I think it's the perfect tent. Everyone will have a personal opinion, my advice would be to go and see one erected first.
hi. thanks for the ideas. have seen a small display of tents but we're in kent and there are not many places to look. would you say the vango is a beta option then a coleman columbus. i really appreciate all the help and advice i get. also is the vista a very heavy tent to transport

I have a Coleman Canyon and can vouch for its superb quality and roominess (and its compact when packed away). I can't comment on the Columbus, but I know it's a popular tent. Yes, you're right the Vango is a very cumbersum tent to transport if you don't have a lot of room.
Hopefully someone else will be along to help with you with the Columbus.
thanks. i know it looks good .do you think it would be a prob not to have sig in living area. have u seen the yale and do yopu think it would be too small for us.
we have 3 girlswho are not keen on insects thats why i thought a sig throughout may be a good bet
Hi George. Could highly recommend the Aztec Cantera 9. Loads of room, three good size bedrooms and easy to put up and full SIG. Can get this years model for £250 if you shop around. Whatever tent you buy enjoy it as I am sure you will
Hi George, I have looked at the tent but alias have never heard of the make or seen one erected. I am sure someone here has had experience of this tent and may be able to comment.
Hi George, we bought an Indiana 8 berth tent just a month ago, to meet up with some of our relatives for the weekend. The four bedrooms & living area are very spacious indeed, plenty of room for putting your table & chairs inside, in case of rain!
We only used it the one night & are now taking delivery of a Conway Cruiser F/C & therefore selling the tent!
We paid £200.00 for it, but not sure what to sell it for! Here's a picture of it, although we bought it from a camp shop in Woburn.
