Hi,
We bought the Outwell Nebraska XL, a few weeks ago, which leaked on all of the seams in moderate rain. This was very disappointing as we too loved the layout, light etc of the Nebraska. We sent ours back and had a refund. There does seem to be quality issues with this style of tent, as you say. It would be a great tent, if you got a goodun'
Prior to our leaky Outwell, we had a smaller Khyam QE tent, which was problem free and easy to put up. I can appreciate that it was smaller that the Outwell.
I personally feel that the Outwells are a great design, good layout and very light inside, with storage etc and would be great if the quality could be confirmed. Whereas the Khyams are a little less well designed inside and quite dark, but good tents.
We too have a similar dilema now we have no tent and my mind is awash with which one now. I have lost confidence in Outwell, but I am considering the Diablo 900, a Khyam or maybe the Vango Aspen range, although, Im not sure about the bedroom layout in that.
I hope that this helps a little !!!!!!
