we went camping for the first time last year and bought a lichfield cherokee 4 berth tent......we now want to upgrade to a bigger tent say 5/6 berth,, which is very easy to erect, with only 1 main sleeping area ( myself ,hubby and  2 kids and perhaps our dog all together ) we would also like to be able to put chairs in side and sit in them ( ie height about 200cm ) and overall tent not to be too huge also our other tent had a sown in ground sheet for bedroom but not living area- we would prefer a completely sown in ground sheet..i paid around £70 for our other tent  and would still like a good value new one say up to about £150 are we asking the impossible? can anyone suggest a good buy?  i've looked on numerous sites and now i'm baffled

Hello emso, we had a vango venture 500 which probably meets your criteria, but minus the dog, we are the same sort of party  as you and need a bigger tent next year so I will wait to see what is recommended to you.  I think I want an extra bedroom for storage as it drives me mad looking at all the stuff.

What about the Vango Oregon 600 (£119.99 here)?

Not a SIG, but it does have a bathtub groundsheet. This tent has good reviews (especially on this site) and reports are that it is quick to pitch. You could remove the double bedroom inner and so increase the size of your living area and/or use the end doorway. This tent would surely be useful as your family grows and, as they want a bit more space and privacy, you could just put the second inner back in. Perhaps not as tall as you had hoped, but then you don't have to carry the bigger poles or struggle with the extra fabric. Just an idea.....
