Well, I feel it`s probably one of these situations where you get what you pay for, no? My personal view is that it`s tat and you`ll probably freeze to death in these bags, that`s if you don`t drown first in a light shower, of course. But for that price...well, even if you give the tent to the kids for the garden and use the bags/mats for sleepovers, then its probably ok.

Under £20 for the lot? You were done

Seriously, on a sunny day, put the tent up and get some seam-sealant: Do all the seams, take your time and don't miss any.

Then when the sealant is dry, takes about 10 to 15 mins when the weather is warm, you want to reproof the tent. It will say that it's already done but it will cost you very little to do it again. Fabsil is probably the right one to use.

I would also suggest getting your self some of the nice yellow plastic tent pegs because the ones that will have come with the tent will be nasty little cheapy skewers and no use to man nor beast

I would suggest maybe buying yourself a couple of the blow-up mattresses. They are very affordable now. I see that Argos are charging about £15 for a single. So add a little footpump and you're all set.

Bargain I reckon and used sensibly I know that you will have a lot of fun with it

even if the tent's rubbish £10 for a bag and 2 foam mats isn't so bad. If you get an airbed put the foam mats underneath and fold out the sleeping bags on top and use your duvet and pillows from home.

Best thing yo do is test the tent before going away by soaking it in the garden. If it's no good you can get a brand name 3-4 berth small tent for <£40 and still make use of the other stuff in the pack.

Don't worry, the tent's probably fine. It's crazy some of the things that you can pick up on Fleabay. I picked up a very decent Staville socket set for £99 because it had been entered in with the boats - normally retails at around £300+

Deep Joy!
