Marechal is a good choice of tent, they're quality. I can't help you with erecting instructions, but I'm sure someone will be along to advise you later today.

if you are anywhere near Cirencester (Glou), drop into to Tents Direct who sell them - they would probably be helpful and copy something for you.

If you live in the Midlands, you're quite welcome to come & erect it on our lawn & we'll sort it out between us. It should be pretty much like our frame tents, so I'm sure we could work it out. It's a matter of putting the poles together which form the roof, then hoist it up to half height while you pull the canvas over it, tie the tapes inside at the corners to the frame, then hoist it up fully. Next is to put the kitchen frame together and tie it in, and it's ready to be pegged down.

Hi sorry i cannot help you erect your tent,but you have picked a good one,i think marechal are one of the best.I am sure you will fathom it out ,even with instructions most of us struggle,Good luck anyway

As above or you could just wait for a nice day and lay it all out in the garden, the previous owner may have colour coded some bits if you're lucky. 

Did you get it for a bargain on ebay?  looks a nice tent on the tents direct website.

Wow!  Thanks for all your responses.  I have been encouraged by some of you saying that it shouldn't be too difficult...

We will give it a go when the weather gets warmer and dryer and if we really struggle I will ask for help again.

We have been given a Marechal BC 5 tent in fine condition and with pegs but no poles!
Does anyone know where we can get poles to go with it?

Best bet but may take some time is to keep an eye on ebay and get another complete tent and use whichever canvas is in best condition.
