Just brought a new Wynnster Venus 5 off the dreaded e-bay for £99 which I think is pretty good value.

This is for 3-5 day camping trips with my 2 boys under 6 and the wife.  Would like to hear from other people who own this tent or know somebody who does their opinions and their views on this tent.

Would also like to know if it has a SIG as all the sites I have been to don't mention it.

Many Thanks

Hi shivadread, like Wendle we too have the Wynnster Anglesey which looks similar to the Venus. They are good quality tents so I think you should be happy with your purchase. Good luck.

Looks quite like our Wynnster Pegasus 5 except that it does not have the eyelid canopy. If the bedrooms are a same size as the Pegasus the smaller bedroom might be a wee bit tight if your lads are large teenagers. The Pegasus has a massive living area and yours looks the same.Looks like you got yourself a good tent for a very good price.

I bought one in 2005 though it said 2 mesh doors only has one, don't know if I got stiffed on an older model.

Can't fault the tent though I bought it because of the HUGE living area, it's not difficult to put up and stood up to some pretty stormy German weather last year with some very superficial damage- I Mean REALLY stormy weather.

You got a bargain if in good nick the 2 man is a bit small but I think you won't regret it.

Can you pitch it prior to use?

SIGs only on inner tents

Best way to tell

I think the Venus is the pre-curser to the Pegusus I've just bought.   I have only used mine once but love it.  The big living space is great.
