I wouldn't worry. Personally I love Outwell tents - the designs never fail to impress me.
There were some quality issues last year with the 2006 models. So far this year I have not heard any complaints. I got a new Norfolk Lake this weekend and I have just checked it over very, very carefully. It is perfect. If it wasn't then I would have taken it back for a full refund - and you should do the same with wichever tent you buy if it is not perfect.
enjoy your camping.

We have an Outwell too, OK it's a 2005 model, but we have had NO problems with it at all. We camp all year round and haven't had any complaints. We were always big fans of Vangos before buying the Outwell and although we still love teh Vango we haven't used it once since buying the Outwell..!
As BrianH said, if there are any problems take it back, but I can't see you having to do that..!
Howdy kee888 -as others have said, there were some quality issues with Outwell tents last year, but it was not for ALL tents sold; and on the whole when problems were found, retailers sorted out exchanges orrefunds.
It is a bit early in the 2007 season to be hearing back about lots of new purchases so far: but if you buy from a dealer who gets a positive report on here (like World of Campingwho advertise on here) then you should be fine.
The Nebrasks is a great design for a family tent - and I think offering the children you care for the chance to sample a camping holiday is a great idea too - I have great respect for foster carers!
So welcome to UKCS - and ask away as much as you need to.
awww thanks everyone, we have been looking on the web for the best prices has were are going to get the footprint sheet and the carpet, the prices vary so much from £399 to £500 for the tent but im really thinking of going to mitchels in wakefield where its £449 for the tent at least we have a better chance of taking it back if there is any problems rather than trying to return it on the web etc. we went to world of camping i thinbk on saturday is that the one oposite the ruby ground in warrington????? they didnt have it in stock there or is it a different one?????? goinbg to have a look at the west mindlands camping a few people have mentioned that too is it also called yeamons?????thanks so much for all your replys keep em coming you are all making us feel so much better lol xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I shall now reveal that I used to be a social worker; I know that foster carers can have variable experiences with members of my profession! However, at the end of the day, what matters is the lives of the children and young people we are all supposed to be focusing on- sometimes the bureaucracy and systems seem to get in the way of that.
