Warning - there are no signs immediately visible on entering the car park to say you have to pay or any signs of a meter.
We visited with friends who live nearby and we both took our cars and have both been stung for £100 each.
Looking on Google maps there are no meters or signs but it is a year old. I have emailed the Warden to send pictures of exactly where they are situated.
There are lots of complaints about the parking, even people have paid but the machines malfunctioned and they still get a parking charge notice even though they have paid.

I believe some time ago, the Gov of the day clamped down hard on private parking (in view of all the rogue operators!), requiring CLEAR signage of parking conditions and CLEAR charges stated.
You may have a decent case to appeal if site not reaching required signage. Interesting that the Nature reserve operators have a SPECIFIC contact on their web site dealing with parking complaints - looks very much like it's a big issue with them! https://www.kenfigcorporationtrust.co.uk/# Go to very bottom of page!

Thanks Monty. I have emailed the clerk. Friends were also charged and they live locally so they are going to try and go over to see exactly where the signs/meters are. Watch this space.
We have a similar issue at Dartmouth Castle car park. Car park owned by the council but managed by a Private Parking Company which uses ANPR. We only stopped there to have two ice creams and were in the car park for about 20 minutes.
