A warning for those intending on travelling through Kent this coming week; Op Brock returns to the M20 this weekend (21st May), and will remain in place until early June.
The contraflow will be in place, with a 50mph speed limit. The speed cameras will be live and they're usually set very low!
Work starts overnight Thursday 18th to set it all up.
Yay.

What if the Hokey Cokey really is what it's all about....?
Thanks for the post. I'm at Black Horse farm Densole on the 3rd before going via Eurotunnel early on the 4th. I knew about Roundhill tunnel repairs didn't know it was going to be fully closed coastbound. I know the M20 A259 diversion route however might go via the M2 A2 and A260 now.

The cameras cant be set below 50! What is 'op brock'? It sounds like a badger round up!
It looks like it will be the full Brock, so fully closed on the coastbound carriageway, but a contraflow on the London bound. This means two lanes running each direction, no hard shoulder and 50mph speed.limit.
One minor collision, or a breakdown, and everything comes to a stop for ages. You're best served either using the M2 if heading for Channel Tunnel or Dover.
Alternatively, leave M20 at junction 8 and use the A20 through Charing village, down to junction 9 M20 at Ashford. Much less stressful!!

Thanks Di+Glyn_W my journey is to Densole on the 4th June then onward to Eurotunnel early on Monday 5th hopefully the Bank Holiday traffic will be out of the way. I'll be watching how Brock progresses but am favouring the A2 M20 and A260. On a lesser note local to me the A666 (Dual Carriageway) from Bolton to the M61/M62 is closed for overnight grass cutting fortunately it won't really affect me on an earlyish Sunday morning start, plenty of quiet ways round that one even with the caravan.
We headed back in the car from Dover to Scotland on 22 May mid morning. Westbound M20 traffic was moving freely on the 2 inside lanes, contraflow in the 2 outside lanes also moving ok.
We encountered far worse holdups elsewhere (eg M40 closed by a RTA, meaning an unplanned diversion to M1).
A useful recce for a future MH to SE England. Mr Google said the journey to Kent would take 8 hours, he lied - it took 12, in both directions.
