With a good day of dry weather forecast yesterday .
I cancelled my daily walk .
And went for a Cycle for a change Instead .
In Glorious Sunny 🌞Sunshine but cold ,
Went around the Cheshire lanes ,
Away from all the busy main traffic In Handforth headed to the Beautiful village of Styal :
Green fields Thatched cottages and Old Mill and woods ,
Along gravel tracks on the perimeter of Manchester Airport .
Viewed the aircraft on take off and landing .
Then out to the Bollin valley , where the river meanders near Morley Green and lanes around Mobberley and all the Rural land open fields lovely view, continued on a circular route to Paddock hill around Lindow common and checked out the Black lake .
Then bypassed Wilmslow to go over the River Bollin at Twinnes bridge uphill through Styal country park then past Styal station onto gravel tracks/ trails and home It was a lovely afternoon couple of hours cycle for a change .
And in Dry conditions .
Felt good and Energized after a shower .
Very enjoyable ,and a good test of fitness level.
i cycled across the dee estuary the other day to Hilbre island, then had a ride up to parkgate and back.
followed that up the following day with a ride up the beach from crosby to ainsdale and back down the cheshire lines to maghull, then along the canal to Kirkby.
was fantastic riding on the beach, so flat and smooth.

That sounded like a nice Coastal cycle across to Hilbre Island .
(Is there a causeway to the Island )
And along to Parkgate .
With a View of North Wales.
And the Beach cycle , lanes and canal .
Quite a variety.
Great stuff especially the parts away from the traffic .

i try and cycle away from traffic as much as i can. i dont see the point of cycling along roads (sorry bessie). i use map my ride or strava to plan routes as they show dedicated cycle routes.
there is no causeway to Hilbre, and judging by the looks, not many cycle to it as its beach all the way. luckily my bike is designed for that with 26"x 4" tyres.
cant wait till the spring so i can start heading further afield with it.
