Yep go for ones that are cut properly for kayaking otherwise they are too bulky and foul your movements which becomes annoying.
We joined the BCU, you need to be careful where you take the yaks because you don't have automatic entry to all waterways. BCU supply a sticker opening up a lot of places for your use.
We kayak at both Exmouth and Brixham, also Exeter canal.
