I saw about this hobby on another camping website the other day. It directed me to a geo-caching website it certainly looked great fun. I looked at the cache's in my area and as i know the area i could work it out without gps. I think i will have to save my pennys and get a gps

Certainly all of my caches have been planned and set with my Little Mindies in tow. So all of mine are perfect for walking with children and are short easy walks. Also, they are at nice places to take them for free eg Shildon Railway is a firm fave of the family ;)  as is a place where you can feed deer! I expect that other cachers think in a similar way and only plant caches at really nice and interesting places to go...then you are not disappointed when you set off on a hunt, even if you don't find the cache!!!

Yes it is OK to hunt using the map method and co-ords, but if you subscribe to geocaching.com (£20 a year...) then you can download (with a lead) all the co-ords straight into your GPS unit and its instant! Saves time.

No Queeny I use a password prog and copy/pasted the same name in, didn't realise till later that its 1 letter to big for the box. teach me not to be lazy eh!....or to open my eyes and look!!

its a dangerous sport...once had to go inside a huge gorse bush ;) took two weeks to recover, LOL!!!
