Well spotted - We decided to try the rapids in wetsuits and bouyancy aids instead of the canoes - great fun

I bought a K2 inflatable canoe of e-bay for about £80 including two double paddles and a pump. It all fits into a fabric shoulder bag. I know you can pay a lot more for the top of the range ones but I was impressed by the quality of the construction, and the ease with which it inflated and deflated.

Haven't used it myself yet! - so can't give any comments on handling. The kids spent most of half term using it upside-down as a 4-kid surf-board! I bought it for use on a sheltered beach where I could could take a kid out on the water with me safely, and with more control than the good old-fashioned sea-side rubber dinghy driven by a paddle bought from the bucket and spade shop!!!

Off to the Ardeche river in the summer where I'm hoping to put it through it's paces! We'll be hiring a couple of solid Canadian canoes to do a two day river trek with the kids, but if it handles OK messing about on the river at the campsite before we leave, I may take the inflatable with us too!

By the way, we noticed last year when looking at the K2s in the States last year, that the American version of these canoes comes complete with cup-holders!!!!
