Hi, wife and I are thinking of going fruit picking this summer!!!!! has anyone done this because we would like a few tips if poss. We had heard that there are quite a few motorhomers that do it. We are thinking of either France or Denmark but dont really bother where it is. Look forward to seeing if there are any other people out there who have done it or are considering it. Thanks
Heres the website you want http://www.pickingjobs.com/ I used to pick strawberries nr my home when I was a teenager, not my idea of a holiday, I think.
------------- Sell my camper? I'd rather eat school semolina!
Have done fruit picking in my twenties in a few countries, I agree that is can be very hard work; I remember grape picking in France being particularly tiring, but good fun outside working hours, sitting around drinking wine outside the tent.
Hi there Mart i do fruit picking regular and i have some very useful advice .....firstly don't pick fruit that comes bagged ...oh no its to easy to find a rotten fruit nestling in there....and if the fruit are in trays try to look for your fruit to be picked in a lower tray where the best ones have not been picked by other discerning fellow pickers of fruit... and in my humble experience i find my fruit picking is best done in sainsburys for a more constant quality but be careful even there i have picked a fruit or two that is not up to standard that was when i picked fruits in bulk mind in plastic bags....hope this helps cheers and many happy fruit picking days to everyone that likes to pick fruit ....Bonz :)
