We started taking horse riding lessons about 3 months ago with the aim of adding pony trekking to our list of "things to do while camping"

Our first trip this year took us to North Devon where we found an excellent riding school that offered trekking on Dartmoor

I would also like to hear about other trekking centers close to campsites particularly in Derbyshire and Cumbria

There are a number of places in the New Forest as you might expect. One near Bashley does western style riding for those that are not used to horses. Take a look on the tourist information site for a list.

I used a riding school near Fordingbridge many years ago and can't remember the name. I was lucky as I was the only person booked so had a great ride including a long fast canter across the forest.
