The OH has been talking for ages about getting another dinghy to put his outboard motor on so I thought rather than be a boating widow I ought to get out there with him.
I must have been some sort of reptile in a previous life though as I'm nearly always cold and you'll be lucky to find me dipping more than my little toe into any open water in the UK!
Anyway, the OH bought a wetsuit from his brother while we were away last week so I thought I would get me one too. Anyone know about brands? I'm looking at Osprey ones at the moment as they don't seem to burn too much of a hole in your pocket!
dont concentrate on the make....its what fits that is important. if its from a supermarket, buy it and take it home to try it on. ideally get a couple an try them on and take your pick.
just think about how much you wanna spend.
basically the more you spend the better it will be....its all to do with how they join the seams and the complexities of the coatings they put on the rubber.
AND dont get a shortie...these are only any good if the sun is shining and are as much use as a normal swimming cozzy.
if you want to keep warm, get yourself a decent pair of wetsuit shoes or boots...these can cost as much as a cheap suit, but its always your feet that get cold first
Buy one when you go to the coast, most wetsuit shops have second had stock people trade in, got my sons full length wetsuit(6y/o) for 20quid) loads of life left in it its is an alder.....I've got an o'neill.
Both 3/2mm.....fit is everything, the price can be anything you want.
