You can walk into Ripley from the site and buy some fab ice creams and then go into Ripley castle for a guided tour which is brilliant and then there are the grounds to walk round which are quite extensive.
We hired a boat at Knaresborough on the River Nidd and we had a day out at Lightwater Valley when we were there. There is also Ripley Castle within walking distance and the local pub although we thought it was a bit posh and sat outside with our waterproofs. Ripley campsite is a lovely campsite with plenty to do on site includng a small indoor pool.
