I have tried the Cat-Eye wireless units, neat but they are not always reliable, and the battery in the sender, does not last as long as the one in the receiver, for the last five years I have run a Cat-Eye Enduro 8, designed for mtb abuse, it is a wired unit, that can take a bit of abuse, ultra reliable, and only the one battery of course, which I change each year.
